Founded in 1967, Blue Ridge Community College, located in Weyers Cave, serves the residents of the central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Comprehensive programs of instruction include associate degrees and certificates in occupational/technical and college/university transfer programs. The College also provides *non-credit workforce training and special interest classes for individuals, business, and industry.
Blue Ridge Community College is part of the Virginia Community College System (VCCS), home to Virginias 23 community colleges.
For students interested in completing a certificate or degree program at BRCC, please start by completing the online Application for Admission*. To start the Application, click the blue "Apply Now" button at the top, right of your screen (link also available at the bottom of this page).
Identity Verification: In order to provide a safe and secure learning environment, admission to our colleges require that all new applicants verify their identity. Applicants will need access to a computer or mobile device that has a camera in order to provide a real-time photo of themselves (Liveness Check) and upload a photo ID (Driver's License, Passport, ID Card, etc.).
After you complete the Application for Admission, be sure to login to your MyBRCC portal. Your username and password will be given to you on your confirmation page. The temporary password that is issued to new students is valid for 24 hours. If you are a BRCC returning student or you have attended another Virginia community college, your username and password is the same from your previous enrollment. Use the Forgot Username/Password links if you do not remember what they are.
After you have completed the online Application for Admission and have logged into your MyBRCC, go to www.brcc.edu/admissions for your next steps.
Please Note: Applicants will not receive a .edu email address until after they have made a financial commitment to the college.

**Blue Ridge Community College (BRCC) will not engage in high-pressure recruiting tactics when recruiting Service members. BRCC will recruit Service members through standard Outreach protocols: email, phone or text follow up to a new application or inquiry by the Service member. BRCC will not engage in repeated attempts to recruit Service members who have indicated they are no longer interested in attending BRCC.
***Several BRCC programs prepare students Virginia State licensure. At this time, Nursing, Veterinary Technology, Substance Abuse Counseling and Emergency Medical Services are not available for students who reside outside the state of Viriginia. At the time of application, out-of-state students who request enrollment in Nursing, Veterinary Technology, Substance Abuse Counseling and Emergency Medical Services will receive an email notification that the program restricts enrollment of out-of-state students. Instructions will be provided on the appeal process.
