DCC Application Information

Identity Verification: In order to provide a safe and secure learning environment, admission to our colleges requires that all new credit applicants verify their identity. Applicants will need access to a computer or mobile device that has a camera in order to provide a real-time photo of themselves (Liveness Check) and upload a photo ID (Driver's License, Passport, ID Card, etc.). 

Prospective Student Checklist
                                                                                                                         
1. Apply for Admission

  • Complete the Application for Admission
  • Look for your Congratulations and Next Steps email sent from an Enrollment Navigator 1-2 business days after your submission.
  • Please send your official high school and college transcripts to Enrollment Services either electronically to admissions@danville.edu or through Parchment.
2. myDCC Account Activation and Security

  • Make sure that you are able to log into your myDCC account by using the username and password provided on the submission receipt page. If you are unable to login, please contact Enrollment Services at 434-797-8467 or admissions@danville.edu for assistance.
  • Set up MFA (Multi-factor Authentication) to secure your account.
3. Complete the VCCS Enrollment Survey

  • Once your account is active, immediately complete the VCCS Enrollment Survey as soon as you have accessed your myDCC account. This will expedite your ability to enroll in classes.
  • If you are unable to login, please contact Enrollment Services at 434-797-8467 or admissions@danville.edu for assistance.
4. Apply for Financial Aid and Scholarships

  • Complete your (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.gov using DCC School Code of 003758 to have your FAFSA information sent to DCC.
  • You can contact DCC Financial Aid by calling 434-797-8567 or emailing dccfinaid@danville.edu.
  • You can apply for scholarships from the Danville Community College Educational Foundation by completing the application found here. You can contact the Educational Foundation by calling 434-797-8437.
5. Contact Academic Advising at 434-797-8420

  • Learn more about Advising at DCC.
  • Make an appointment with your Academic Advisor by contacting Enrollment Services at 434-797-8467.
6. Complete your new student orientation, DCC ROCKS.

  • You will sign-up for your mandatory in-person orientation at your advising appointment.
  • You will complete PART TWO of DCC ROCKS by logging into your myDCC. Click on Canvas to complete PART TWO of your new student orientation.
